Çaystube

The Çaystube, designed as a performative installation, is intended to serve as a space for experience and relaxation in the midst of the festival intensity. Every year, the concept is developed further and adapted to the new circumstances and needs of the visitors. Çaystube also refers to the so-called Gecekondu houses. Gecekondu means “built overnight” and aims to draw attention to the precarious housing in big cities.

The program in the Çaystube is free and open to the public in the courtyard of the Kulturbrauerei. It offers a low-threshold access for a broad and diverse audience and enables exchange and encounter as a safe space

Welcome to the Çaystube!
