Rich Aucoin

Producer Rich Aucoin from Halifax, Nova Scotia, proves that the Canadian music landscape also has a lot to offer outside of the major centres of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. From his first big hit »It« from 2011 to the euphoric pandemic soundtrack »Walls«, Aucoin’s pop songs are full of suspense, inspired as much by the Beach Boys as by M83. More than anything else, Aucoin attracts special attention with his explosive live shows, usually performed from the middle of the audience, complete with space costumes, parachute fabric, and a mosh-pit atmosphere. He achieved another great success in 2022 with »Synthetic: A Synth Odyssey«, recorded on 37 different synthesisers, some of impressive vintage, an album that earned him a nomination for the prestigious Juno Awards.
