Keeley Forsyth

Heavy organ sounds and deep vocals – Keeley Forsyth really has no problem going where it hurts. Not musically, and certainly not in her lyrics, as can be heard on her 2020 debut album »Debri« and its 2022 follow-up »Limbs«. And the English actress (who’s appeared in series such as »Happy Valley«, »The Casual Vacancy« and »Family Fortunes«) and musician remains true to herself with her new record »Hollow«. The lead single »Horse«, with its sound-prose-video reinterpretation of the Béla Tarr film »The Turin Horse«, once again shows Keeley Forsyth as an expert on the darkest and most epic aspects of being human. By collaborating with saxophonist Colin Stetson on the song »Turning«, Forsyth has also fulfilled a big dream on the album – and made it come true for us, too: wonderfully experimental and disturbingly transcendental. She was actually supposed to perform at Pop-Kultur back in 2020, which couldn’t take place live for well-known reasons. And so we are all the more thrilled to finally welcome her.
