In times of streaming and digital music distribution, this is still totally possible, but it’s a rare occurrence – and always involves standout acts. That’s exactly how the Blumengarten story goes. The duo comes from Velbert, a small German town and they have been friends since their school days, and during the pandemic they started producing music together. In the eighties and nineties, some people knew Velbert for its thrash-metal scene, but Blumengarten are now the antithesis of shredding guitars. Warm pop songs carried by yearning and Rayan’s incredible voice. Anyone dreaming for a better, gentler world will find their soundtrack here.
