»Ich seh’ Monster« (»I see Monsters«) is a combination of concert, biography and theater. Each title of this very personal solo evening is a song and story from the incredible life of Berliner musician Nikko Weidemann. The stage is set up for a full band, but he plays all of the instruments himself. And like a kind of human jukebox, he performs the heavy rotation of his musical life. A musician’s biography with the music of Chopin, Supertramp and many songs of his own. No fewer than 50 songs, although some last only 10 seconds whereas some are played in full. Weidemann has worked with Rio Reiser, Nena, Einstürzende Neubauten, Yoko Ono, Nick Cave, Sean Lennon and Rufus Wainwright and has released his own records. In 2018, he was awarded the Grimme-Preis for his soundtrack work on the TV series »Babylon Berlin«.
