With »Pop-Kultur Lokal«, Pop-Kultur Festival has been supporting Berlin venues, collectives and networks in developing and presenting their own event formats since 2018. At the heart of the programme are concerts featuring musicians based in Berlin, complemented by DJ sets, talks and other formats emerging from the city’s local pop-cultural landscape.

The goal of the programme is to highlight the diversity of Berlin’s music and cultural scenes while strengthening independent structures. Applications from all musical genres are welcome.

This year’s events will take place between September and December at venues of the organisers’ choosing across Berlin and, as always, will be free for audiences to attend.

Particular emphasis is placed on diversity within the programme, accessibility and creating a respectful environment for everyone involved. The projects will be chosen by an independent jury consisting of Svetlana Müller (PANDA platforma), Henrietta Bauer (Bretford), Anton Teichmann (Off-Kultur), and Karl Imdahl (Pop-Kultur).

Further information about the application process can be found in the open call.
