Talent Export: Building International Opportunities
Camila Anino
Breaking onto international stages rarely starts with good music alone. Expanding into new markets requires an understanding of how different music scenes operate, which networks matter, and how lasting professional relationships are built. Using the Spanish music ecosystem as a case study, Camila Anino explores the role that festivals, showcase events, and industry platforms play in international exchange today, as well as what bookers, curators, and promoters look for when discovering new artists.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, the workshop focuses on strategies for building a sustainable international presence, developing meaningful industry connections, and improving the chances of successfully entering new markets. It is aimed at anyone looking to strengthen their international strategy and gain new perspectives on building a long-term career.
Camila Anino is Head of Partnerships & Programming at Primavera Pro, the international industry platform of Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival. For many years, she has been active at the intersection of festival programming, music marketing, and international networking. Previously, she worked with festivals including Lollapalooza, streaming platforms, and as a strategist for international cultural and music projects. Collaborations with the European Commission, the United Nations, and partners such as Reeperbahn Festival and the Music Innovation Hub reflect her understanding of music as a globally connected ecosystem.
