SENU

SENU draws on the musical and cultural richness of the Black Atlantic, continually falling in love with old and new sounds from Africa, the Americas, and the urban spaces of diverse diasporas. The result is DJ sets that consistently resist routine: heavy basslines, polyrhythmic grooves, and an eclectic flow between global club sounds, kwaito, baile funk, hard drum, gqom, Jersey Club, and everything else that expands her sonic universe. As a resident at Refuge Worldwide, SENU hosts the radio show Black Atlantic Sounds, creating a space where musical connections beyond geographical borders become audible.
She has performed at Panorama Bar, Tresor, RSO, OXI, CTM Festival, Melt Festival, HKW, SAVVY Contemporary, and the Pop-Kultur Festival, among many others. Alongside her work as a DJ, she regularly leads workshops and is particularly committed to creating low-threshold access to club culture for FLINTA* people. At the Çaystube at the Kulturbrauerei, she brings all of these influences together in a set that effortlessly connects the past, present, and future of global club music.
