Saya Musa stands barefoot against a light grey background, looking directly at the camera. They are wearing a long brown pinstriped coat over a white dress, paired with striking yellow earrings. Their long braided hair is captured in motion, extending dramatically to both the left and right, giving the portrait a strong sense of movement.
Saya Musa

Originally from Uzbekistan, the singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist Saya Musa – born Sayyora Musaeva – has developed a distinctive musical language that brings together pop, folk, and ethnically rooted influences with an expansive atmospheric sensibility. Her voice possesses the rare ability to feel both comforting and stirring at once: a voice of striking presence and emotional depth.

On her 2025 album »Yangi Tong«, Saya Musa weaves themes of origin, inner strength, and cultural memory into narratives of almost mythical proportions. Inspired by Persian poetry and personal experiences, her music moves between minimalist intimacy and cinematic grandeur.

Saya Musa is also known for her collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Dmitry Soul, with whom she creates hypnotic downtempo and live-looping performances. Alongside her musical practice, she works as a designer and leads workshops for women exploring voice, expression, and empowerment. She understands her music as a space for connection and healing – a place where tradition and the present do not stand in opposition, but continually enrich one another. The result is a sound that is deeply rooted while remaining open to new horizons.
