Lingua Erotica is the joint project of the Berlin-based producers and DJs Narciss and Morphena, shaped by a distinctive working method that closely intertwines personal communication, visual references, and a desire for musical reorientation. The starting point was their shared wish to move beyond the narrow limits of the functional club context and work more explicitly towards song form, pop, and soundtrack aesthetics.

With their debut EP »Wrapped In Silk«, they position themselves as an exciting synth-pop duo drawing on cinematic dramaturgies, ’80s references, and Italo-disco motifs. Their influences range from David Lynch to Dario Argento and Federico Fellini, which is reflected both in the sonic texture and the staging. Themes such as desire, conflict, projection, and self-stylisation are not abstracted, but translated directly into song structures.

For Narciss and Morphena, the move into a band project marks a shift from control to expression: voice, lyrics, and performance move more strongly into the foreground. Tracks such as »El Diablo« and »Stars In Your Eyes« draw on biographical moments and transform them into sharply contoured pop forms without resolving their ambiguities.

Lingua Erotica operate within tensions – between intimacy and staging, narration and club aesthetics – and in doing so return emotion to pop.
