K-Mens (DJ)

K-Mens, aka Kevin Mensah, moves effortlessly between the sound worlds of the African diaspora and the global dancefloors of today. His sets weave together Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afrohouse, Asorkpor, hip-hop, R&B, soca, and dancehall into an organic flow that follows its own rhythms and energies. Raised on the sounds of Ghana and shaped by performances in Accra, Mauritius, Berlin, and Munich, among other places, he creates DJ sets that make cultural connections audible without smoothing over their differences. As Pop-Kultur Festival’s resident DJ at silent green – where he creates musical interludes with a distinct artistic vision in the Betonhalle between the live sets – K-Mens understands DJing as the art of listening. Every selection emerges through a dialogue with the audience, turning the dancefloor into a space for collective movement and encounter.
