INGA BARI

Flickering strobe lights, rattling percussion, and synthesisers that seem to provoke one another: INGA BARI approach club music as a physical experience rather than simply as the soundtrack to a night out. The Danish production trio moves between the cool precision of Scandinavian techno and a playful love of groove. Melodies rarely take centre stage. Instead, they drift through the tracks, briefly surfacing before disappearing again, leaving behind a constant stream of small sonic rewards – ear candy in the best sense.

The leading role belongs to brutal synths and restless drums that seem to be in constant search of new forms. Syncopated rhythms repeatedly knock the music slightly off balance without ever compromising its danceability. No straightforward club bangers, INGA BARI create tracks that twitch, rumble, crackle, and glitch – experimental, yet never overthought. Even when heavenly samples briefly introduce a sense of lightness, everything remains in motion, creating friction while fitting seamlessly together.

At a time when electronic music often oscillates between maximal self-display and introspective navel-gazing, INGA BARI take a different path. Their sound invites listeners to let go of control, laugh at themselves, and surrender completely to the pull of the music. Raw, uncompromising, and driven by a palpable appetite for experimentation, they combine Scandinavian club music with influences from dancehall, neoperreo, and the soundsystem culture of the Caribbean. The result is a live experience that strives for ecstasy.
