Elektrokohle

Cold, movement, neon light. Elektrokohle call their sound Cold Punk – a mix of post-punk, noise, krautrock, and dark surf. Energetic vocals, industrial textures, reverberating guitars, and motorik beats come together in a singular, intoxicating sound. Elektrokohle are Mona Manie and Mr. Cigarette Butt, who formed the band in Berlin in 2021. In 2024, they released »Kalt Wie Du Bist« on Oráculo Records, the renowned Spanish dark-wave label whose catalogue also includes Boy Harsher. The first pressing sold out, »Introspective« attracted international attention, and the LP led to Elektrokohle’s first festival appearances abroad.
