Dis Fig

Dis Fig creates sonic worlds shaped equally by noise, experimental electronics, industrial music, and performance art. Working as a producer, vocalist, performer, and DJ, she first emerged from New York’s DIY noise scene before eventually making Berlin her home.

With her debut album »PURGE«, Dis Fig established a sound of fragile intimacy and overwhelming force, embracing emotional vulnerability as readily as controlled chaos. Her live performances in particular have earned her an exceptional reputation: physically intense, emotionally charged, and driven by a voice that effortlessly spans delicate melodies, distorted textures, and explosive outbursts. On stage, the boundary between artist and audience becomes increasingly porous – performance not as presentation, but as a collective experience.

In recent years, she has collaborated with British producer The Bug on the album »In Blue«, released the acclaimed »Orchards of a Futile Heaven« alongside US post-metal visionaries The Body, and spent years developing sonic works for the monumental performances of multidisciplinary artist Tianzhuo Chen.

Where others distinguish between pop, avant-garde, club music, and noise, Dis Fig is primarily interested in emotional intensity. Her music creates spaces in which beauty and disturbance, vulnerability and strength exist not as opposites, but reveal themselves as two sides of the same experience.
