»Ping Pong Hayat and the Art of Staying Alive«
»Hayat« means life. Radio host, DJ and event organiser Yeşim Duman is back again at Pop-Kultur as curator, distilling her activity in the queer club scene and fostering interdisciplinary discourse. This year, along with İpek İpekçioğlu AKA DJ Ipek, choreographer and performer Joana Tischkau, conceptual artist and linguist Reyhan Şahin and author and journalist Ronya Othmann, she will be playing with the concept of »access,« literally: the discussion will be held at a ping-pong table, constantly in motion as it ricochets from pop culture to literature to science, from power relations to icons of pop-music, all with a focus on issues of solidarity and new collective practices. With a literally playful approach that shares a queer understanding of ping-pong, a sport that doesn’t involve any bodily contact, Duman’s programme shows where things are headed.
