Phuong-Dan

Running since 2006 (not a typo), Phuong-Dan’s club night »Gatto Musculoso« has become a cornerstone of Hamburg’s legendary Golden Pudel Club in St. Pauli. Since 2021, it has been accompanied by his label dispari – a platform for collaborations, publications, exhibitions, and performances. Phuong-Dan’s sets unfold with enigmatic grace: they defy categorization, subvert expectations, and invite listeners to wander freely through unfamiliar sonic terrain.
Also active as a cultural anthropologist, photographer, and filmmaker, it is only fitting that his sets are as much in demand at scene-defining clubs like Robert Johnson, Salon des Amateurs, or Berghain Säule as they are in institutions such as Gropius Bau, Haus der Kunst, or on festival stages at Dekmantel and Meakusma.
