We are constantly online, world events are always just a swipe away, dance videos follow war footage on TikTok, all selected by the algorithm. What remains is anger and frustration. But also, the demand for social participation and a battle cry against the status quo. G. Cook, a genre that’s a major influence on her nowadays. And so C’est Karma delivers the unofficial soundtrack of her Generation Z – avant-garde, electro-folk-pop songs that addresses the status of women in society, sexual assault and even her own family history.
