Bring Your Own Table – Black Perspectives in the German Music Industry (EN)
In today’s music industry, diversity is often reduced to a buzzword – while meaningful structural representation is still lacking. It’s not just about being invited to the table, but about building your own.
The panel »Bring Your Own Table – Black Perspectives in the German Music Industry« welcomes the Black Entertainment Network GSA (BEN–GSA) – a network of leading professionals in A&R, brand strategy, management, and music production, working to empower, connect, and increase visibility for Black musicians and professionals in the German music industry.
Together, the participants will discuss their individual paths, networks, successes, and the structural challenges they face within the German music industry – sharing knowledge that doesn’t just promise empowerment but actively puts it into practice. This talk is aimed at Black artists, as well as anyone who feels underrepresented – or not represented at all – in the music industry. It also welcomes those who are committed to shaping the future of the scene. The goal is an open and honest exchange that reflects the spirit of community at the heart of the Black Entertainment Network (BEN). Join us if you are seeking inspiration – and tangible, real-world insights.
