Are you a young musician or starting out as a producer, DJ, or songwriter? Do you want to work professionally in music management, booking, run your own label, or get your music out to a more targeted audience? Are you taking your first steps as a music video director, PR professional, or music journalist? Sure, you’ve got some experience in your field, but you want to reach the next level: »Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs« can get you there. Apply now for one of the 250 places in this year’s two-day workshop programme!

It’s all happening on August 23-24, 2017 at Kulturbrauerei in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg. International music professionals will share expert knowledge in hands-on workshops and talks. Their experience reports and background stories will convey a realistic and practical view on working in the pop-music-business. This year’s programme includes workshops presented by Pop-Kultur acts such as author, musician and filmmaker Noveller, trip-hop artist Psychaleppo, and producer Throwing Shade. Singer-songwriter Haley Fohr will premiere a Commissioned Work with her project Circuit des Yeux and host a practical workshop. The experienced label managers Horst Weidenmüller and Christof Ellinghaus will explain why failure in the business can also be a good thing..

Additional workshop hosts include Max Rieger of All Diese Gewalt who will talk about the struggles of producing an album without going mental, label and festival organisers Melissa Perales and Andrea Götzke, Jochen Arbeit of the iconic industrial heroes Einstürzende Neubauten as well as special Native Instruments Workshop with rapper Black Cracker.

Participants can choose between the 40 different courses in German and English that will take place uring the two days of »Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs«. And as the program invites applicants from all over the world, you’ll be able to network across borders and professions.

An expert jury will then pick 250 participants for the sought-after spots in the programme. The participation fee of 40 Euros includes lunch and access to Pop-Kultur’s networking area for professionals.
